Neomodernism Explained

All over my beautiful Australian Harper’s and fashion pages I am seeing Neo-Modernism pop up everywhere. Such an exciting name for a new trend but what does this mean? (No it does not mean fluro colored ‘jet sons’ inspired pieces). The fashion trend is loosely based around the philosophical movement that brings a formalist approach to post-modernism. Lost? Me too.
In layman’s terms it brings our wardrobes to a halt. Think patent Prada, Burberry tweed and 2023 plaids. Last year would you wear your tweed with plaid and patent and feel formal and sophisticated? No, well lucky you neo-modernism has made it possible. The key to this trend…minimal colour variations. Keep your clothing hues similar, and to step the outfit onto the high street use accessories for a splash of colour. Still confused? Love these pieces together. This is more runway than your way but take the feeling and apply it to your lifestyle.

I like the Marni shoes but I don’t think I would wear them. They seem really chunky. But I would love to see them in an editorial!
Did you styled it yourself? I really lovelovelove it!
I agree with the others! Your style of writing is great. I really like the white burberry shirt. It’s almost a twist on a simple polo
Very cute blog with some great advice…I think I failed your rules of accessorising though!
I would be happy to exchange links, will add you today.
