How to Do The Side Braid

Many the fashionista will argue that Lauren’s side braid is over and she needs a new look but AusAnna says its still fresh especially for summer. Pairing the classic Lauren side braid teamed with metallic flats and a floral maxi dress is va va voom this summer. And easy look to rock with minimal prep for super styling.
3 simples step
1. Style your hair as normal
2. Grab the front part of your hair
3. french braid to perfection
crap instructions i know but its not that hard, its best to play with it to find out how you like it exactly.

  7. Umm… I guess I like that look. But I used it years ago, and am not about to go back to it any time soon. Though if Aussie Anna says it’s in, then, well… I guess it’s IN!

I have done this a couple of times of late, mainly due to the fact that its so ridiculously hot I want to keep the hair off my face at all costs. Its surprising how many people comment to me that they can’t braid hair, it just seems to be a natural thing to me! Xx

    Hey there,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Great Blog!! I personally loved your pics …. Must admit you have a great sense of style. Keep up the good work.
PS: I have initiated an idea to create a fashion and style blogroll where bloggers from the jewelry, fashion, style and beauty could participate.
All you need to do is to add my blog link to your blog and i’ll do the same.
That way, we could have a mutual partnership and we could refer visitors to each other’s blog.
Please let me know if you would be interested.

    Thanks!

  10. Getting a bit tired of the braided look, but lovely in summer and a perfect way to keep your hair out of your face! Cool blog! <3 x

  11. I love the side braid. I’m so awful at braiding though.

  12. KK says:

I’ve tried this, but unfortunately I have short bangs and they make braiding a tad difficult. I’m waiting for the day when I’ll be able to pull it off

  13. The only annoying thing about having short hair is not being able to do pretty things like this. Thanks for the sweet comment, I’m loving your blog too.

what a coinky-dink… one of my last posts I’d just had my hair like this! And by the way, the floral piece was a skirt… that I wear as a great dress! Haha, 10 points for you :)

I have tried SO many times to master the side braid and it never comes out right. I had a friend once do it for me. She braided it “inside out,” so instead of crossing the pieces inward, you cross them outward. I don’t know if this makes any sense at all, but it came out looking great!
