Today (again despite the cold) I’ve been flicking through slides from Zimmermann’s runway show at RAFW and started getting excited for Spring Summer Swim luxury. The collection was a huge success at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week this year which guarntees pieces from the collection wil be running off the shelves as they start to drop to this July. Zimmermann’s Spring Summer collection stays true to their roots of casual yet sophisticated beach wear. The fun careless attitude that Zimmermann garments possess have kept Australian women beautifully clothed since 1991 when sisters Nicky and Simone founded the now iconic Australian label.

The collection showed at RAFW this year was nothing short of their reputation. Bright colour bursts filled the runway in quality fabrics that moved with the models walk. The highlight for me were the sea blue and coral bone structured swimsuits, images of mermaids filled my head. A strong theme of lilac and burnt orange colours was carried through most the collection and often in correaltion with pastel floral prints. I can’t wait to turn heads at the beach (because of my Zimmermann swimsuit not me! haha) this summer.
