John Rocha
The palette was beautiful and essentially monochrome in black, nude, rose and ivory, with shades revealed in fabric and texture at the John Rocha SS11 show. Thigh high boots layered beneath, long, dramatic tulle dresses presented a novel way to bring the winter boot trend into spring. Again we saw the oversized blazer dress appear, with so many designers pulling this one out of their bag of tricks what out for this one in the upcoming summer.
Smudging the lines between fragile and strong, wild and refined, Rocha creates a somewhat curious intrigue around his pieces.
Some of the looks in this range were very deshellved ballerina, but stunningly beautiful.
Betty Jackson
Tribal Granny chic was the term Betty Jackson used to describe the runway styling of her Spring/Summer 10/11 collection. Featuring textured knitwear and clashing prints amongst taupe staples.
For this collection Betty Jackson teamed up with renowned American jewellery designer Alexis Bittar on a selection of dramatic costume jewellery that mixes bold and colorful Lucite and ostrich feathers.
Again the skinny leather belt has made an appearance, definitely a trend to start implementing into your wardrobe right now!
