The names Bond….regular Joe Bond.

All anyone is talking about right now is the new James Bond flick, Skyfall, and I think everyone is having a bit of Bond envy. So in the spirit of cinema, these are my top picks to turn your regular Joe into an international man of mystery.

They say beauty is only skin deep, well so is handsome. It’s a known fact that most men’s face products are chosen by women and I took the liberty of choosing my boyfriend  Nivea Visage Control Shine Mattifying Gel Cream from the Nivea Young collection. This oil free, light gel rids your skin of unwanted shine without dehydrating it. Since we live in Australia and the sun is on a murderous rampage and you never see Bond with a sunburn, pair it with Daily Essentials Shine Control day cream also from Nivea Visage. The super light moisturizer is SPF 15 and also regulates the skins oil balance. Best of all, these products cost less than $15 each, so you won’t break the bank leaving you plenty of “money pennies” to spend on other Bond accessories like this smashing black tie from Oxford.

Nothing says ‘Bond’ like a smart black bow-tie. Oxford has a great range of mens accessories and this timeless classic is a steal at $59.00.

For true Bond luxury, indulge in the ultimate Bond girl fantasy and share a martini together, “shaken not stirred”, in some beautiful Italian glass wear by Luigi Bormioli available from David Jones.

So while your man might not be a seductive secret agent, he can at least look the part. And to that I say, meh, close enough!

  1. Wow I would love to get my guy into this!

    • Men are so stubborn with skin care, but If you can get them into an easy and affordable regime like the ones from nivea, they see results and stick with it. I think they really appreciate it too, even if it is secretly.

  2. My husband is thankfully into skin care and he feels great as a result.

    • You are so lucky! It has taken me years of training and my man is only just starting to get into it now. Its awesome to know someone can back me up on how great guys feel when they see the products working for them! (high five!)

  3. I am going to have my boyfriend read this. Great article.

    • Great idea! Men need to know what kind of dedication it takes to reach the Daniel Craig calibre of sexy. We all need a goal! haha.

  4. My wife just made me read this and all the comments. lol. I have to say that I am probably not as good looking as Bond but this did get me thinking that maybe I should pay more attention to my skin.

    • Your wife is a fantastic human! Don’t get yourself down, no one is as good looking as bond, it’s about looking after yourself and feeling confident. And I’m sure your wife will agree, there is nothing more sexy in a man than well deserved confidence .

  5. ha! if only we could get all of our guys to dress like this. I have been slowely getting my husband to change his style by replacing some of his shirts and he doesn’t know if yet, but I have been also slowly getting rid of his older clothes. I have learned that if you want to change a man, you have to do it a little bit at a time.

    • So true, slow and steady wins the race! unfortunately men can get so set in their ways and they have to be tricked into trying something new. While we are spilling secrets, my boyfriend and I share a hair dresser and I sometimes make sneaky suggestions of potential hair cuts for his next visit. I call it guerilla improvement.

  6. My guy would appreciate this, thanks :)
