What to: Wear on a First Date

From my past experience dressing for a first date may seem more important then the birth of your first child. Women have been led to believe the ill fated untruth that the outfit on the first date determines when you will get married and whether he will agree to a garden ceremony. Seriously! As a woman on the dating scene myself I will admit yes, the outfit for the first date is important, but our ovaries do not hang by a thread if you choose the wrong coloured blouse. The ultimate success of a first date lies in your compatibility with the person, if you’re running in the same direction, if you click and feel comfortable. I just wanted to put that out into the universe before I talk about choosing outfits because what you wear is only a tiny detail in the big picture of ‘first dates’.  (end rant) Instead of giving you tips & scenarios as ‘What to” articles usually do, I’ve pick out a few great outfits I’ve sourced.

Australian Chain Store End of Financial Year Sales

I went for a shop yesterday as it was my day off, bad idea. Just a note to my employee's I really can't have either pay day or the day after rostered off. It's just plain dangerous pay day is Wednesday today is Friday and my wallet is empty. BUT I did walk away with great bargains at the end of financial year sales. This is defiantly the best time to go shopping (after the end of financial year) because the stores have so much on sale they were trying to move before June 30 and haven't moved so now it's just wasting space, and then also factor in that spring stock is going to be arriving this month equals BIG DISCOUNT. Here are a few of my favourite chain stores with end of financial year bargains.

Seduce

Not a store I usually walk into, because generally I associate Seduce with cocktail dresses which isn't an everyday purchase but I was pleasantly surprised to find a few cute tops and silk pants in the mix. They've made sale time easy for the shopper by keeping the store neat and easy to shop with racks divided in sale prices. Check it out, especially if you have a cocktail occasion coming up soon!

Dotti

A great cheap and chic chain store with throw away fashion. You can wear Dotti pieces once only and not feel guilty because of the great heap price tag. Prices have dropped below zero and are too cool for winter. I picked up a great fitted tartan suit jacket for $29.99 from $79.99. Too easy!

Cue

The beauty about Cue sales is, it never feels like an impulse buy. Cue clothes are work wardrobe staples and never go astray. The EOFY sale has up to 70% off recommended retail prices. Pick up a blazer for the office which can work double time in your wardrobe when you chuck it over jeans and a tee on the weekends.

Sportsgirl

Leaving the best until last. My mother brought me up on sales, and the minute I was allowed to choose what store I shopped in it was Sportsgirl. Always on top of the latest trends and at the most reasonable prices available. The sales at Sportsgirl set the bar for all EOFY sales. Which jewelry and accessories starting from a crazy 95c what's not to love. Pick up a cute pair of harem pants for about $30 or an edgy jumpsuit for $39.99.

Be quick because the sales aren't going to last forever, spring is just around the corner, new stock is getting shipped in so they are going to be moving the sale stock to warehouses or outlets very soon.
